There are three rooms of music on the night, with an additional two rooms at the Afterparty! Click here to see the full line up.
A few little things for the night...
- Doors open to the Ball at 19:00. You need to enter through the College's main entrance on Exhibition Road. Head to the front desk where we will check off your name and you'll be given a wristband. You must wear your wristband at all times.
- Please remember to bring your College card - you will need it to confirm your ticket purchase on the door.
- If you have bought a ticket for a friend/s, they must be with you to collect all your tickets at once. We need to check off all of your purchases at the same time.
- Don't be late! Entry to the Ball closes at 00:00, so make sure you're in by then. Also, there's no re-entry for the Ball – once you're in, you're in!
- The Summer Ball is spread out all over campus , but we don’t want you missing out on anything! Look out for maps dotted around to find out where everything is.
- Wondering what to wear? There is no "dress code" per se, however in past years attendees have preferred to capitalise on the glamour of the event and come in black tie. You could come as your favourite Bond character - it's up to you!
- The theme is Bond, but one thing that won't be allowed is fake weapons, e.g. water pistols, plastic knives, etc. Everyone will be searched as they enter the ball and if any of these items are found, they will be confiscated before you can enter the ball. You will be able to reclaim your item in the week following the event.
- Bring some cash with you. The BBQ, ice van, and bars in the Great Hall and Queen's Tower Rooms are cash only. We’re taking Yoyo at the h-bar as well, and you can pay by cash, card or Yoyo at the Afterparty. There will be cashpoints available in the Sherfield foyer and at the Union, but you can save yourself some queuing time by bringing some cash in advance.
- Our hashtag #icusummerball will be featuring on Twitter and Instagram all evening – don’t forget to join in the chat, send us some pictures of you in your finery (or costume!) and extend the party to the twittersphere!
