Imperial Leagues

Imperial Athletes now offers a number of intramural leagues to students at Imperial College London.

These take place weekly across Move Imperial facilities and offer a friendly level of competition between students. Whether you want to enter with course friends, housemates or a club team, the Imperial Leagues are open to everyone of any ability.

Imperial Athletes are proud to introduce Imperial Leagues. Imperial Leagues are run in harmony with the existing student led sports clubs to give the best student experience possible.

The leagues will run from week commencing 19th October 2020 and will culminate in December for the Imperial Finals – a celebration of sport at Imperial.

Monday

  • Squash – Ethos Sports Centre

Wednesday

  • 7-a-side Football – Harlington
  • 7-a-side Hockey – Harlington
  • Rugby – Harlington
  • Netball – Ethos Sports Centre
  • Basketball – Ethos Sports Centre
  • Badminton- Ethos Sports Centre
  • Table Tennis – Ethos Sports Centre
  • Squash – Ethos Sports Centre

Signing up to Imperial Leagues   

If you are interested in taking part in some fun, social and slightly competitive sport during term 1 then Imperial Leagues is for you. With a range of sports on offer there is hopefully something for everyone.

If you already have a full team then you can just enter as a whole team. It might a team made up of friends from your halls, course, society, club or a mix of all of them. To enter one of our leagues as a team you need to;   

  1. Designate a captain in your group that is responsible for entering your team into the league and division. They should email t.astle@imperial.ac.uk to sign up
  2. Imperial Athletes staff will contact you to confirm your place in the league along with fixture details and league information packs
  3. Once your team is confirmed all members of your team including subs will need to buy an IA membership before the season starts  

If you are not part of a team and just want to sign up as an individual, no problem.  

  1. Complete our sign up form
  2. You will be assigned to a team where there is availability
  3. Once in a team you can set up a Teams or WhatsApp group to stay in contact
