Group Awards

Outstanding Enterprise
A student-led activity, campaign or project delivered to the local or Imperial community for the broader benefit. This initiative will have increased awareness of an interest, topic or issue and brought positive outcomes for the people or movement it supports and engages.

Outstanding Event
A stand-out, student-led event or series of events that showcased the Union and its activities. Acting as ambassadors of their group, the Union and the College, this event will have delivered positive impact.

- The consideration of inclusivity and how this was applied to the event

Outstanding Club, Society & Project
A Club, Society or Project that has identified an area for improvement and created a positive impact on the student experience.

- The impact the Club, Society or Project has had on the student body
- The effective functioning of the Club, Society or Project, leading it to run above and beyond the expectations of Clubs, Societies or Projects

Outstanding Academic Representation Network Team
A Departmental Rep team that has ensured democratic and effective representation of the views of their constituency and has improved the teaching and learning experience of their students in a lasting and measurable way.

- Successfully tackle a problem relating to the academic experience of their peers

A Departmental Rep team that has ensured democratic and effective representation of the views of their constituency and has improved the wellbeing of their students in a lasting & measurable way.

Has demonstrated the ability to work as a team to:
- Successfully tackle a problem relating to the wellbeing of their peers
- Enhance the student community in their department

Individual Awards
Union Colour
These awards recognise individuals who have given significant and repeated outstanding contributions to the student experience at Imperial and the life of Union members throughout the year. There are three main criteria that count towards an award: depth (significance of contributions), breadth (range of contributions and how widespread their effect is), and time commitment. The greater the volume of all three dimensions together, the higher the award received.

- For the award of Union Colour, at least one of the above criteria must be present (though normally this would not be time)

Outstanding Service Award
These awards recognise individuals who have given significant and repeated outstanding contributions to the student experience at Imperial and the life of Union members throughout the year. There are three main criteria that count towards an award: depth (significance of contributions), breadth (range of contributions and how widespread their effect is), and time commitment. The greater the volume of all three dimensions together, the higher the award received.

Your nomination should touch on all elements of the below criteria to be considered
- The Outstanding Service Award should be awarded to those individuals who have, in addition to the requirements for a Union Colour, gone above and beyond their role, repeatedly, to enhance the student experience. Thus, at least two of the above criteria (depth, breadth, and time) should be present above a certain area threshold.

Union Fellowship
These awards recognise individuals who have given significant and repeated outstanding contributions to the student experience at Imperial and the life of Union members throughout the year. There are three main criteria that count towards an award: depth (significance of contributions), breadth (range of contributions and how widespread their effect is), and time commitment. The greater the volume of all three dimensions together, the higher the award received.

Your nomination should touch on all elements of the below criteria to be considered:
- The Imperial College Union Fellowship shall only be awarded to those individuals who have continuously served the Union and/or enhanced the student experience in an exceptional manner, usually over a number of years. The three criteria described above should be present above a certain volume threshold. Normally, not more than 5 Fellowships are awarded each year. Each individual, so awarded, will be granted Honorary Lifetime Associate Membership of the Union and have the option to receive either a pewter tankard with the year engraved or a glass award.
