For those of you graduating, yet also those who are returning, take some time to reflect on what you enjoyed most at your time at Imperial. For a large proportion of you, this may well have been your involvement with Clubs, Societies & Projects (CSPs) or another activity of the Union. This year we decided we wanted to create a way for you to keep in touch with CSPs, whilst also remaining a part of the Union and making sure the groups who made your student experience great benefit from your choice to remain with us.
This is why we are launching our new Life Associate Membership!
At a new special price of £40.00, for every purchase of Life Associate Membership made, Imperial College Union aims to give up to £30.00 to student groups or service, according to your choice. In this way the funds generated by these sales can then be used by student committees in the future to subsidise their activities, and you will be kept in the loop with special events and news! We've made this change as we understand that those leaving will want to directly benefit the communities they value so highly.
If you can’t make up your mind about which CSPs to nominate, don’t worry, as the Union will ensure all of the funds go towards furthering the student experience for you.

By purchasing our cheaper and reinvigorated Life Associate Membership, you have:
- The opportunity to join any CSPs in the future
- Access to our bars
- Discounts on booking our spaces
- Ability to attend our flagship events at student prices
- Ability to subscribe to CSP alumni-tailored newsletters to keep up-to-date with news and events
- The knowledge that more funding will be going towards CSPs and it will be easier for you to remain in contact with them in the future!
We hope that the engagement with CSPs will not only allow to keep activities affordable, but that you will also return to give invaluable advice and guidance to the next generation to help them make the next big step of their lives into the job market.
Over time we will continue to develop our Life Associate Membership package to make it bigger and better, continuing to keep you, as alumni, in mind as laid out in Our Strategy 2017-20.

This change comes from the manifestos of this year’s President, Nas Andriopoulos, and Deputy President (Clubs & Societies), James Cox, to improve our alumni engagement and increase CSP funding.
This is a fantastic example of the Officer Trustees and Union staff working to improve the student experience; this could not have been achieved without the feedback from students and graduates on how they want to remain in contact. Let us know what we can do for you, we will listen!
