We are currently looking for a General Catering Assistant to join our busy Venues Team. The role consists of a mixture of evening, day and weekend work.
Located in Beit Building, our venues are the social hub of student activity on campus, hosting a great range of events and nights. Please see the Job Description attached.
Hourly rate starting from £12.05 per hour + holiday pay allowance. This is a casual hours role.
The Person
The role involves day-to-day food preparation and cooking in one of our flagship venues, plus assisting the chefs with food preparation for functions and events.
The successful candidate will:
- Have basic cooking skills
- Have experience of working in high volume catering outlets
- Love to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene
- Have a basic understanding of health and safety
- Have a flexible approach to working hours
Please note, you must be 18 years of age or older to apply for this position.
It is a must that successful candidates make themselves available to work regular Wednesday and Friday evenings.
