Your voice
We are student-led. Every one of our members - the students of Imperial College London - is able to lead, create and influence change.
We elect student leaders who take our collective concerns to College, or who lead the effort to tackle challenges ourselves.
Your Officer Team: There are hundreds of positions across different areas of student life, but let's start with the five above - your Officer Team for 2020/21. They were elected in March and work full time at the Union with very specific areas of responsibility!
Your First Election: You'll get the chance to use your voice as soon as you arrive on campus. Autumn Elections take place in October and you will be able to participate by standing for a position and casting your vote.
We have nine Liberation & Community Officers who represent students from particular groups. Connect with your officers or join a group.
Your extra-curricular activities
We run 380+ Clubs, Societies & Projects (CSPs). There's something for everyone and it's a fantastic way to meet new people, learn a skill, or simply have fun!

Join a CSP at Welcome Fair
Meet all the Clubs, Societies & Projects at our Welcome Fair on Tuesday 5 October across the South Kensington campus. You will also be able to attend the Welcome Fair online this year - stay tuned for more information. You can connect with your fellow students, ask any questions and meet some of our partners. We're also preparing a Give it a Go programme for you to try out some activities. We can't wait!
Your social life
We operate four bars serving a wide range of food and drink, a nightclub, and exciting events year round. This is where you'll have fun and make great memories at Imperial! We're not able to open all four bars just yet, but FiveSixEight in Beit Quad is now open every day, between 16:00 and 22:00.
We have an amazing programme of virtual and in-person events for Welcome this year: Live Music on Saturdays, The Great British Bake Off on our big screens on Tuesdays (+ a Union Bake Off competition!), and Super Quiz on Thursdays. Join us for great food and drinks any other day of the week!
Our CSPs will provide fantastic events too, and we've teamed up with Move Imperial for a great selection of online fitness activities. Check our website for more details.
Advice & support for you
Studying in the high performing environment of Imperial comes with challenges and we'll be here to support you throughout.
We've got an Advice Centre that provides professional support through academic & non-academic issues, as well as a Wellbeing Network with elected reps to raise and tackle issues.
Your development beyond a degree
There's more to your development at Imperial than a good degree - we'll help boost your learning through a varied offer of year round programmes, workshops and online learning opportunities that will complete your academic experience.
