This year the Student Academic Choice Awards (SACAs) are back and BIGGER than ever.
Do you have an amazing inspirational lecturer? Is your supervisor always willing to help you when you need it? Is there a member of support staff who puts in a huge amount of effort to keep your course running smoothly? Show these people that all their efforts are appreciated by nominating them for an award!
The SACAs enable students to celebrate and reward excellence and innovation amongst Imperial’s academic and professional staff. We believe teaching and supervision are skills of equal worth and value to research, and we aim to build a community in which academics, staff and students all feel empowered to bring forth new ideas.
Nominations are now open and will be open until the end of February. A student-led shortlisting process will then begin, and a mix of student nominators, shortlisted candidates, previous winners and College leaders will attend the glitzy black-tie ceremony in Union HQ on Thursday 15 May. The categories were all decided by students, and reflect the current priorities of the student body when it comes to their academic experience.

The SACAs are currently only 1 year old, but it is hoped that in the next few years their profile will increase and these will become the most prestigious award a member of staff can win. We want Staff to feel appreciated and feel proud that their students appreciate all the hard work they put into improving your university experience. So get nominating!!
