Rep Week 2013 managed to collect 269 suggestions, which were handed onto your representatives, who could bring up any of them up at your department’s next Staff-Student Committee meeting.
This brings the total suggestions up to 717 this academic year and hopefully some of these can help lead to some more You Said, We Did examples in coming years.
The winning suggestions from the 269 students are shown below:
Aeronautics, 2nd year: “Video recording, more year abroad opportunities (get rid of MIT transfer on our website - I applied to Imperial because of this and they don't even do it)”
Biology, 1st year: “1) filming lectures and uploading the videos of lectures to Blackboard like they do in subjects like maths. 2) Social events to increase interaction with a year group i.e. Bio 1st year only social night or at least more BioSoc social events.”
Chemistry, 3rd year: “Clearer idea of how viva marking and mark schemes operate and what is in place if a student feels that their mark was unjustified or would like a remark or feedback - it's quite unclear at the moment”
