No doubt by now you will have come across Yoyo as you walk around campus, how could you miss it?

Yoyo is the recently launched app at Imperial and is currently accepted across Taste Imperial outlets. The app enables you to load and top-up a balance (like cash in a wallet) in order to pay for purchases at the till. It works by a simple scan of a QR code, which is displayed within the app. If you have used it or seen it in action you will know it is super quick. Yoyo also replaces the need to carry a loyalty card as it automatically stamps and issues rewards within the app, saving even more time at the till.

Take up and usage of Yoyo has been phenomenal and it's proving a big hit for those who hate queuing for cash at an ATM, mucking around with change at the till, keep forgetting to stamp their loyalty card and expect their mobile to do more.

The app is free to download and used on both Apple and Android devices, so if you have not got it already… hurry up, especially as the Union is going to be rolling out Yoyo across its bars in February!

To celebrate, Yoyo will be hosting a launch party as part of CSP Wednesday on the 26 February in FiveSixEight and Metric.
