Due to an overwhelming demand for tickets this year, we’re pleased to announce that we're opening up the h-bar as an extra space at the Summer Ball. Open to all students, the h-bar will be our designated Cocktail Bar for the Ball, open from 19:30 – 01:30 and feature live bands and a Silent Disco!
The Jazz & Rock society will present a line up of bands from 20:00 – 23:00. Then, take your pick from current chart toppers or hits from the 70s till now in our Silent Disco from 23:00 – 01:30…grab a headset, choose your channel and dance away!
Here’s the full list of attractions and entertainment at this year’s Ball:
- Free funfair rides – Dodgems, Big Wheel and Hearts & Diamonds ride. Ride as many times as you want!
- Our headline acts, Professor Green and Reeps One in the Great Hall
- A host of student bands and DJs in the Queens Tower Rooms including the Techtonics, The Scopes, and Battle of the Band winners Wolf Cellar
- Barbeque on the Queen’s Lawn Terrace from 20:00 – 01:00
- Free photobooth in the Senior Common Room, 20:30 – 23:30
- Fireworks over the Queens Tower at 22:45
- Silent Disco in the h-bar from 23:00 – 01:30
- Afterparty at the Union from 01:30 – 06:00 to keep the party going, featuring a line up of students DJs and James and the Rabbit Hole
- Survivors' Photo at the end of the night
