During the next few weeks the Union will be running an awareness campaign amongst students to encourage them to talk about any potential disabilities, mental or physical.
The Disability Advisory Service, also known as DAS, is a College-run service that helps students with disabilities or those that wish to disclose a disability. This can be anything from those who have serious difficulties getting around to those with dyslexia or depression. It gives you advice on what facilities and support are available to you within the College. It can also enable students to apply for the Disability Living Allowance.
Our #talktoDAS campaign will also help students to access support from relevant agencies in the College. Additionally, it will explain what the DAS is, what it offers and how you can access the service.
Lookout for #talktoDAS on the Union’s twitter feed and also on Facebook for any live updates!
If you feel you would like to talk to someone about disability, the Disability Advisory Service are there to help via disabilities@imperial.ac.uk or 020 7594 975.
