London Low Carbon Entrepreneur 2014

Now in its third year, applications for the Mayor of London Low Carbon Entrepreneur 2014 are now open!

Last year’s winners William Hines and Rachel Clemo from UCL are well on their way to trialling their idea for removing the need for paper receipts by allowing users to access their receipts online. Retailers using the system agree to give a percentage of the money they save to tree planting schemes. You can find out more on their website

This year the prizes are 20,000 idea development fund and 6 paid internships at the Siemens sustainable cities initiative in London, The Crystal.

The competition is free to enter and there is no limit to the number of ideas any individual or group can submit. The deadline for applications is March 28 2014.
