Last week, our very own Imperial College Finance Society (ICFS) was recognised by Rate My Placements as one of the top four student societies in the country ! The only Imperial representation at the National Placement & Internship Awards 2013, ICFS was recognised for outstanding commitment to generating opportunities for students - going above and beyond to balance the needs of corporate sponsors and students. While they couldn't quite get the No. 1 spot, it's still a great achievement for the society, members and the Union ! 

With over 30 sponsors, 3000 members and organising over 50 events, Rate My Placements & ICFS sponsors alike were thoroughly impressed with the society this year. Led by Giri Kesavan (Third Year EEE) and Deepka Rana (Final Year Physics), the scale of activities whilst operating with a very small committee of just eight people was commended. Key strengths that were pointed out was the tailored sponsorship service that ICFS offered as well as the totally informal & fun outlook – a completely different ethos than what one would expect from a Finance Society !
