Exciting news for the Union as today we announce the result of an extensive research-based rebranding of your students’ union.

Working with communication consultancy firm Johnson-Eric Branding we have been talking to our members, future students and their parents to find out what the Union means to you. What became clear is that the word ‘college’ in our name caused much confusion to all. Are we a students’ union at a university or a secondary school college? Are we a residential Union or college of Imperial, almost like Oxbridge (wherever that is)? So, as of today, we are proud to announce a modest change to our name that will bring us in line with how other students’ unions are presenting themselves - we are now Imperial's Union. 

The Union President, Tom Wheeler said “Introducing the new brand is one part of a process of incremental change at Imperial’s Union to improve our performance in both amplifying the student voice and enhancing the student experience as we aspire to be universally recognised as one of the world’s great students’ unions. I am pleased to have been part of solving this rampant confusion about what sort of organisation we are. Are we a sixth-form college students’ union? No, we are Imperial’s Union.”
