Hey, I’m Michaela, this year’s Union Council Chair. Union Council is where elected student representatives make decisions and set policies on a wide range of issues, allowing students to shape and direct their Union.
I did my undergraduate degree in Physics at Imperial and started my PhD in Atmospheric Physics in October 2021. I’ve been involved with the Union for over five years now, most notably as the Deputy President (Education) in 2020/21, which makes this my second year on the Board. I’m hoping to use my experience to properly scrutinise and give feedback on how the Union is operating this year.
