I am Billy and i am running for the Vice President (Talks) position in the Energy Society committee. I have enjoyed the responsibilities of supporting and running events for other societies and committees, such as the Beit Hall accommodation committee and a VP role in MechSoc. Though not a massively active member in the Energy Society this year, I have a strong interest and knowledge of the energy sector, where I have varied industry experience and connections from previous work experience and society events.

In this role, I wish to continue the great work of the current Vice President, where there have been great and varied talks about the energy sector from industry leaders. I would also like to build upon the responsibilities of this position, looking at:
-A greater number of talks on Energy Transition, better preparing society members for what the energy sector will look like when they graduate
-Talks with other societies, such as Imperial Entrepreneurs, to have varied speakers from smaller and more specialised companies
-Talks from institutes, such as IGEM
