Physics: Departmental Wellbeing Representative

Hello everyone!

I’m Anthea, the current first year Wellbeing Rep, and I’m running to be your Departmental Wellbeing Representative. I’m a big believer that both cultivating a strong, positive community and looking after our mental health are central to our wellbeing as students.

This year, I have launched and helped shape LGBT History Month events and the Mental Health Awareness Day boards. I also advocated to ensure students who need extra time in tests receive it. Coordinating a year-wide cookie exchange to fight off the February blues was another highlight of my time as rep!

This year as your Dep Rep I will…
- Coordinate regular wellness events: think more movie nights and game nights;
- Run initiatives campaigning for issues important to you;
- Design an easy-to-access guide to wellbeing and mitigating circumstances support available to Physics students;
- Work with the department to strengthen its focus on our mental health and wellbeing.

Crucially, I will always be here to listen to your concerns and any ideas you have about what change in the department.

I am excited to instigate long-lasting positive change within the department, alongside your year reps, by uniting us as a community of students. Ultimately I want to ensure we will succeed in our academic pursuits here at Imperial, without compromising our wellbeing.
