Entrepreneurs: Vice Chair

Hey everyone!

My name is Colin and I’m running to become your Entrepreneurs Vice Chair!

A little bit about me – I’m a second-year Design Engineering student, waiting for that one bright idea that can lead to a million-dollar company. I’ve had the opportunity to join a start-up last summer, which has given me invaluable insights into the entrepreneurial world. I inevitably had to do a little bit of everything there – from pitching and securing investors, to creative-thinking and project management. I’ve also held positions of responsibility; most notably as Chair of my high-school Student Union. This role has encouraged me to develop my organisational and networking skills - crucial for building strong relationships between our society and the start-up community. As Vice Chair, I hope to bring you more opportunities to support you in achieving success.

How will I do that?
1. By organising our very own Hackathon where you can show-off your innovative ideas, win prizes and get noticed by sponsors.
2. By creating mentorship opportunities with successful entrepreneurs to help you gain feedback and insight on how to succeed.
3. By collaborating with other societies to bring various events that will help you develop valuable skills.
4. By increasing feedback from the Entrepreneurs community to tailor activities according to what YOU want to see!

I’m willing to give my all and more to this role if given the chance. So please vote for me as your new Vice Chair and I promise to bring Entrepreneurs another great year ahead!
