RCSU: President

Hello! I'm Jazlynn, in 2nd year Biology. In high school, I was the secretary of the Science Students' Research Council where I led a council of over 150 members, organised the International Science Youth Forum and set up several interest groups. RCSU is certainly a step up from a high school council, but I believe that experience has prepared me well to rise to the challenge to serve you well.

The cross-disciplinary nature of RCSU makes it uniquely positioned to develop a diverse network of scientists. As President, I would advocate for more events - both academic - to develop us as scientists in an engaging manner - and social - for us to meet others outside our own disciplines.

While we may be studying the sciences, not all of us are keen on a path in research and academia. From organising talks by industry leaders to dedicating a section on careers in our newsletter Broadsheet, I hope to help each and every one of us find our calling and purpose.

RCSU is going strong, but I believe there is room for improvement in our level of engagement. RCSU represents all of us science students - Biologists, Biochemists, Chemists, Mathematicians and Physicists. From welfare to academic matters, RCSU is here to support you! What else can RCSU do for you? Drop me a message on Facebook or Twitter!

Vote for me as President of RCSU and I will do my best to make your Imperial experience as a science student a fulfilling and memorable one!
