My name is Irene Andreou and I am a second-year physics student from Cyprus (tiny island in the middle of the Mediterranean). I strongly believe that Research Frontiers is one of the best features of our department. We have the rare opportunity to witness world-leading experts talk about ground-breaking discoveries in their respective fields and ask them questions about their research. Therefore, as students we greatly benefit from Research Frontiers – a place where current research unfolds before our own eyes. As an Education and Lecturers Officer I will try to organise talks that are up to standard with what we have experienced so far. I want to incorporate all of you in deciding the subject of the talks so if elected I will by sending out an email before an upcoming event asking to get your feedback and what you would like to see next.
