Event Technician

Job Summary

We are currently looking to add an Event Technician to our team of dedicated staff to provide technical support services for Students’ Union events, activities and group performances. The role consists of a mixture of evening, day and weekend work.

Located in Beit Building, our venues are the social hub of student activity on campus, hosting a great range of events and nights. Please see the Job Description and Person Specification attached.

Hourly rate starting from £13.81 per hour inclusive of holiday pay allowance. This is a casual hours role.

The Person

The post-holder will setup and use the Union’s technical equipment for events and work with the Venue Technician to develop plans and ideas for future developments, working with Venues Managers, event teams, students and student groups to ensure their needs are met. They must be a confident, self-motivated, reliable individual with excellent communication skills, who works well in a team or on their own. They will have either experience of working in a busy events based organisation, or be able to demonstrate relevant experience elsewhere.
